Most coffee is roasted to be safe.
Nuclear Coffee is roasted to actually taste like something.
We don’t force every bean into the same profile. Each roast is developed to bring out what makes it unique—not bury it under heavy, uniform roasting.
That means brighter coffees stay bright, balanced coffees stay smooth, and darker roasts stay bold without turning into ash.
The result: coffee that actually has character. If all coffee tastes the same, something went wrong.
Nuclear Coffee is built for bold, explosive flavor—not extreme caffeine.
We don’t rely on artificial boosts or over-roasting, just intentional roasting and real flavor.
Expect caffeine levels in line with any quality coffee.
No more than a banana.
All coffee contains trace amounts of naturally occurring radioactivity, just like many everyday foods—and it’s completely safe.
The difference is ours actually wakes you up.
Every batch is roasted in small quantities to maintain freshness & quality. What you're getting isn't sitting on a warehouse shelf, it'se recently roasted & ready to perform.
Most orders are roasted to order, and will never be more than a week or two after the roasting date.
Our roast scale is designed to actually mean something:
Radioactive I – Light roast, brighter and more expressive
Radioactive II – Balanced, smooth, full flavor
Radioactive III – Bold, deep, and intense
No guesswork—just clear flavor direction.

Nuclear Coffee is roasted intentionally in small batches so you can actually taste what coffee is supposed to be.

Meet the Roastmaster
I'm Ryan Post. I grew up in southeast Wisconsin, playing high school football and not thinking twice about coffee.
Back then, it wasn’t something I cared about... it was just there. That changed when life got real.
I had a child early and needed to step up and provide for my family. That led me into the coffee industry, working in wholesale sales for one of the largest coffee manufacturers in the country. I was selling coffee to restaurants, hospitals, and hotels... learning the business side, but never actually roasting.
At the time, coffee was still just a job. Then one small moment changed everything.
A coworker mentioned you could roast coffee in a cast iron skillet, so I tried it. Yeah.. it wasn't very good! Scorched, inconsistent... but even that first batch tasted cleaner than a lot of what you find on store shelves.
That stuck with me. So I kept going.
What started on a stovetop turned into a propane grill with a wire mesh drum… spun with a drill. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked. Over time, I upgraded the setup, dialed things in, and got closer to something I actually wanted to drink.
Then something unexpected happened... other people wanted it too.
Friends & family enjoyed it, and kept coming back. That’s when it clicked. If people liked the same coffee I liked, maybe this was more than just a hobby.
That idea became Nuclear Coffee.
The name comes from years of gaming and a love for post-apocalyptic worlds, but it also fits. Walk into most stores, and coffee feels like a wasteland... over-roasted and forgettable. Nuclear Coffee is my way of pushing back against that.
For me, coffee is like music. Some days you want something smooth and easy. Other days, something bright or bold. But no matter what, it should be clean, intentional, and enjoyable.
That’s what I aim for with every roast. I don’t chase the cheapest beans. I don’t cut corners. And I don’t put out anything I wouldn’t drink myself.
At my core, I’m just someone who likes to build things people enjoy. I’m a creative person, a lifelong gamer, a Packer fan, and someone who probably stays a little too busy, but everything I do comes back to the same goal:
Provide for my family, and create something meaningful. Success to me isn’t just growth. It's seeing people come together over a good cup of coffee.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what Nuclear Coffee is about.
Not just better coffee...
but better moments.
