In our first year of doing markets, we’ve learned a lot. We’ve met incredible people, and we’ve been inspired by amazing ideas. One of those inspirations came from a pay-it-forward board we saw, where market-goers could purchase items like loaves of bread for someone who might not otherwise be able to afford them.

That simple act struck us deeply. Everyone deserves a chance to enjoy good things - a fresh loaf of bread, a hot cup of coffee, or some fresh coffee beans for tomorrow morning - no matter what their personal situation may be. That is why we are starting our very own Ration Board: a way for someone who could use a little boost to be lifted up by the kindness of others in the community.

Here’s how it works:

• You give - Purchase a Cup Ration (a freshly brewed coffee) or a Can Ration (our signature canned coffee) online or in person at a market or pop-up.
  
• We post it - Your generosity becomes an official Ration Card, pinned to the Ration Board at our stall during the next market or pop-up.
  
• Someone receives - A community member who needs a little lift can claim the card, no questions asked, and enjoy the coffee you provided.
  

The Ration Board isn’t about transactions; it’s about connection. It’s about turning small gestures into ripples of support. Each card on the board is proof that generosity survives - even in the toughest wastelands.

When you share the surplus, you’re not just fueling coffee. You’re fueling community. We are all in this together, and every shared sip is proof of it.

Nuclear Coffee was able to get off the ground because of community support like this, and it's firmly rooted in our beliefs that we should all be able to rely on each other when we are in a time of need.

(Note: Ration Board purchases are for in-person redemption only, available at local farmers markets and Nuclear Coffee pop-ups. Rations are not shipped.)
