Wanderer Field Report

Qechua for "women." That's the whole story, and it's the best one we've logged all season.

Out where the Andes hand off to the Amazon, fifty-five women run their own ground. What started in 2010 as a handful of producers is now a full settlement — Warmikuna — six model farms holding the line on regenerative practice and training everyone else by example. Grown high, hand-sorted to the top grade, traceable down to the row. The kind of operation that doesn't just hang on out there. It sets the standard.

This is what they sent back: a washed Peru that drinks like a warm room. Brown sugar and caramel up front, dark chocolate underneath, a quiet thread of dried fruit on the finish. Low and smooth, the way we run it here — no sharp edges, nothing that bites. Sweetness you can sit with.

Stocked while the lot holds. When it's gone, it's gone.
